Laminated Ash Chair
: 1975

The Ash chair was designed, by Paul Haigh, as part of his post graduate studies at the Royal College of Art. It is seen as seminal to the design approach to many of the subsequent products within the
HAIGHArchitects + Designers portfolio.

The Ash Chair represents an approach to mass produced furniture design at the intersection of material poetics and technical innovation.

Individual tapered Ash veneers are laminated to form the side frame and leg structures, tensioned woven cane membranes form the seat and back supports.
