Paramount Hotel : New York : 1991

The restoration of the 600-room Paramount Hotel, originally designed by Thomas Lamb in 1922, was completed over a two year period and involved extensive exterior and interior renovation, including guest rooms, public spaces, and facade. As a tour de force for this full restoration,
HAIGHArchitects teamed up with Philippe Starck, Anda Andrei of the Schrager Hotel Group, and a team of consultants including Fisher Marantz and Donald Kaufman.

The project was published extensively and received the following awards :

1991 AIA : CNA Italian Council of Architects : Marble Architectural Award.
1991 Lumen Award : Illuminating Engineering Society.
1992 AIA : American Institute of Architects - National Honor Award
